Hello and welcome to my website! Here I am with my family in our first ever picture together! I am the little one facing away from the camera. :) I was born Sunday, December 7 at 6:52pm. I weighed 9lb 5oz and was 21 inches long. My Mommy's labor was induced because her Doctor didn't want me to be as big as my brother was when he was born, but that didn't work. I beat him by 3 ounces! So, my Mommy labored all day, then she gave 2 big pushes over 5 minutes and pushed me out real quick! We surprised the Doc and we were the talk of the maternity ward - the 9lb 5oz baby who got pushed out in 5 minutes!
I spent about the first hour in the nursery because my quick trip out left me with a few bumps and bruises. I had swallowed a lot of mucous and had stuff in my lungs that had to be suctioned out. My face was a little bruised up and I had "soft tissue damage" to my right shoulder. But everything healed up quick and I am doing great. I have had some jaundice since I have been born, but that is getting better, too. I am a real trooper!!
My Mimi and Poppi say my parents got real lucky again, because I am such a calm and easy going baby. I just like to hang out and look at everything. They say I am even more mellow than my brother was!
Speaking of my brother, he is great! He loves to give me kisses, and he is always checking on me to make sure I am ok. He is turning out to be a really good brother. My parents are good. They seem pretty tired, but they are happy. Mommy says she can't wait until I gain some more of my birth weight back (I am currently 8lb 13 oz) so that she can stop waking me at night to feed me. I am pretty sure I could sleep through most of the night once they stop waking me up. I have gone for 5 hours at a stretch before!!
